Welcome to MI-Permaculture!
“Though the problems of the world are increasingly complex, the solutions remain embarrassingly simple.”
― Bill Mollison
At MI - Permaculture, we have adopted a way of life called, permaculture. Permaculture uses a set of principles and practices to design sustainable human settlements. Permaculture is not a discipline in itself, but rather a design approach based on connecting different disciplines, strategies, and techniques. It is guided by a set of ethics: caring for Earth, caring for people, and reinvesting the surplus that this care will create. From these ethics stem a set of design guidelines or principles, described in many places and in slightly varying forms. The twelve principles used at the farm are outlined in the photo (left).
